I have been using the harbor frieght bits for years now. Just as good as any other bit. It's more operator than tool. Slow speeds and lube. Seem to get them on sale cheap enough I don't worry about sharpening.

Have a set of matco (Irwin) bits that are lifetime warranty and to be honest they don't seem much better than the cheapos.

things I always will buy at harbor freight are drill bits, grinding disc and such, recipicating saw blades, zip ties, and air hoses. For the saving in price I can not see any difference in quality in those products than any other. Unless I have not found the right product, but it's probably twice as much and half as good.

Agree totally, have used HF high speed steel drills for many years and get long life out of them using a good milling / drilling fluid called Mistic Metal Mover, best stuff I have found. Available at most welding shops.
