I would take second cutting off and let it green up then burn off then notill wheat. If the stand is bad. You could take off first cutting then burn off and plant millet.

You would be surprised how well an old patch of alfalfa will do on a wet year.

I am planting a field of alfalfa this week that should have been put in 3 weeks ago. My insurance guy said I had till May 31. We have a lot of rain coming in the next week so I hope it doesn't get washed away.. ....


They have insurance for alfalfa? Please explain further!



Yes sir it's called forage insurance. It covers it until next spring so if it drowns out or winter kills they pay. It's fairly cheap too
