Subject: RE: Offset disc which one

Franklinton, LA
The first disk appears to have one gang bolt on the front and one on the rear. That thing will be fun to repair WHEN a bearing goes bad. Also, you have 2 blades past the bearing on the left rear corner. There is a good chance that sooner or later the long expensive gang bolt will break near the left rear bearing. The narrow spacing will leave the field fairly smooth. However, you could have problems with plugging if you have moist clay soil or a lot of vegetation. Can you still get parts for this disk?

Can you still get replacement parts for the Bush Hog? The field will be a little rough with a 10.5" spacing and 22" dia. blades. I think that disk would do a much better job with 24 or 26" blades.

These disks may be a little old but they appear to be in reasonably good condition.

You may want to check your tractor HP and the weight of the disk. Your tractor will perform like a sick chicken if you have over 50# of offset disk per PTO HP.

There are several AMCO offset disks listed on Tractor House and you can get parts for these disks. By the way, once upon a time I did work for AMCO.
