Subject: RE: Precision Planting problems

Iowa - Floyd County
Are you running Delta Force? We run a 16R22" mounted planter with Delta Force and fought a similar problem for about 3 years. It ended up being a combination of things. We were using 2 point with lift assist, doesn't work with hydraulic downforce, ended up putting it on a tractor big enough we could run without lift assist. The planter isn't heavy enough so it gets pushed out of the ground and stops planting, we added a bunch of weight to the planter. The lift switches were installed per the instructions but we had to make adjustments to that as well, where they were installed did not allow enough parallel arm travel, the row unit would move enough to shut the planter off when it shouldn't be off.

If you are just running v-drive I wonder if you have some type of GPS/Radar speed issue. The planter senses no speed at those gaps so it stops planting? I get what you're going through, frustrating as can be. Good luck, hope you can get it solved!
