Southeast Minnesota | Yes, you need to set up a new planter configuration.
You need to make a new implement with the 8-4 row split.
Label the planter such as (2 variety 8L 4R) so you know which side is which. This is very important for the mapping.
Be sure to plan ahead when you start a field.
If you start a field and pick your single variety planter and then want to change to 2 varieties in the same field at the same time, you WILL have an uneeded headache trying to incorporate your new planter configuration and previous planted maps together. You can run the same variety in both sides. (Years ago they had to be named different)
Ag Leader has made this possible now but just plan ahead. | |
