Leoti, Kansas | As many of you know, I am new to this whole farming game and am having "issues" (mainly operator error) setting up and operating our JD 1720 16R30 stackfold planter.
My question for you all today is if there is a way to calibrate the seed meters? We have the VR motors and automatic row shut offs, and I am having an issue with the planter under and over planting. For example, the planter monitor says that it is planting the rate that I want, but I end up with way too much seed left over when I am done with the field for the planter to have had actually planted the specified rate. I am curious to know if there is a way to calibrate this so that I can have better population control? Any help is appreciated! | |
