wc Ohio | Trying this again as my last attempt was put on late Saturday and didn't get much traffic :)
I replaced it last winter with the "new" cassette style seal. Used the correct seal installation tool from the dealer to put it in. One thing I know I did wrong was I oiled the wear sleeve before putting it in and now realize that it should have been put in dry. Not sure if this is why it's leaking now or not? Would it be possible for the sleeve to turn against the seal since I oiled it and the seal not be turning inside itself? Also when pushing the seal in with the crank bolt it was VERY tight, and made me wonder If that was normal. Also not sure how I'm gonna pull it back out....
Did the oil pan gasket at that time, that's another story as it took me two tries.... I have engine oil leaking again pretty good and I believe it's the seal. Looking for advice or tips on making sure I do it right this time around!
