NE SD | I have a few of each of the following fruit trees/shrubs in zone 4 and so far have good luck getting them to grow. Some have been in the ground 5 years and are producing, some only 2 years as each of the 5 years have added a few new types. I have Hops, Elderberry, Goji berry, Blueberry, Gooseberry, Rhubarb, Apricot, Pink seedless grapes, Concord grapes, Buffalo berry, Kiwi, Raspberry, Cranberry, Plum, Chokecherry, Hazelnut, Strawberry, Apple, Pear, Cherry, Peach and this year it will be Pomegranate and Green table grapes. Just do your research and make sure the variety of the fruit you pick is zone 4 hardy. Also plan ahead with where things will be. I planted goji berries close to the blueberries and learned that I needed to amend my pH for the blueberries which like 5-6 pH but gojis like 7-8 pH so they weren't happy neighbors. | |
