southern MN | Quite a bit of very heavy soaked snow to melt off yet, into fields that were holding a little bit of ponded water before the snow.
Substantial 2 day rain forecast next week.
Seed corn pickup days was supposed to be today and tomorrow, got postponed until next weekend. I don’t have a seed on the place from any of my dealers, no hurry.
It is last year all over again, only wetter from more snow melt. Last year I snuck in oats in wet field first week of May, corn followed as I could through the rest of the month, beans went in mid June. About 3 weeks late for each crop last year.
Doom and gloom.
