Not wanting to argue but li ooked Back in our marketing pdfs and in 16 17 and 2018 we had times we could have locked minus 65 to 70 cent bean new crop basis. And if We had a poor futures price at that time but could have locked the basis and rode the futures. You maybe live closer to a processor but for those that sell on the pnw basis is poor.
I found several of our old marketing pdfs that show a good new crop bean basis in Feb through may time frame. So up until this year 70 cents was our goal for bean basis and most years was attainable. The first photo has basis from the 2-15-2018 marketing group.
