Subject: RE: Soil Sampling

Planning on setting up for Variable rate someday in the future on my operation. Just want to get some ideas first. Yes planning on having the analysis done over the data. Anymore my retailer suggest pulling soil samples every 4 years and thats why I thought of doing it myself to save money ($8.50/acre). Thats what they are charging plus another $8.50/acre to VR apply. Also if I can pull my own cores I know it will get done before winter and have a good sample.

I'm cheap and Variable Rate is where it is at I believe and I'm trying to get there starting with good quality grid samples.
