try this
Lubbock, Texas
in media player go to to Tools->Options->Performance Tab->Video Acceleration
The default video acceleration slide is at "Full" meaning "Full video acceleration
(recommended
)"
move the slide to "none" meaning "No video acceleration. Select if you are experiencing severe playback problems"
close media player entirely open and try a movie
