East central Iowa | I think we went to one in Coralville when my son was in college. That's been about 15 years ago I think and if I've got the right place, it was the best steak I've ever had. Thank you for reminding me. I wonder if it's still as good. I recall that it wasn't real noisy as is Texas Roadhouse. Texas Roadhouse has been our go to place for good steak but I don't like the noise or the feeling I'm in a hog pen.
Let me clarify the hog pen comment. 60 to 80 years ago we had a hog house in which we farrowed maybe 10 sows. Each sow had a pen about 7 feet wide and 8 to 10 feet deep. Maybe not that deep. I always feel like I'm being herded into a pen at Texas Roadhouse because of all the wood and the way each pen, er booth is made.
