It's called creep feeders in the pasture up here in these parts. You don't say how big of pasture or what kind of grass you have, so maybe it's too vague of a question. Corn, oats, field peas, distillers and soda are a common combo or a couple of each, for some up here, some do straight commercial creep pellet and some mix with cracked corn. A little more clarity might help those who know more than me, cuz I make no claims to being knowledgeable.
