| We are just south of the base. Drive on all sides of it. I think there were some mistakes made in management. First reports (within first days) stated water began coming in through storm drains (before river crested). Around all the area levies, the storm drains have one way gates on them to allow water to only flow out, not back in. This flood came quick and I believe it caught someone off guard and the gates were not/did not close. | |
