Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | Landlord needs to own the irrigation equipment, at least eventually. When we put up a pivot on someone else’s land, it’s with a longer lease and rent is reduced by the same amount as if the LL had financed it themselves.
I must say though that I have a bad habit of underestimating project costs, so usually end up wondering if my rent reduction was enough. We still make some money in the end, so I guess you can say it’s a good deal for everyone.
