At least one company has opted to drop the local teenager detasseling workers for migrant workers. I wonder if the 50% hike in the Illinois minimum wage played a factor in the switch?
Either way, that's what the leaders of Illinois want, either a high dollar minimum, or illegal aliens to have a job and place to live. Really, the wage hasn't increased much yet, but will take a pretty good jump at first, then I think $1 per year until it hits $15. |
