NNW Nebraska | Good or bad, I have used pex. I use it because it isn't likely to brake if it freeze.
You really don't need 2", friction loss in a few of 1" or even 3/4" wouldnt be much.
You could use one of those slip repair fittings, fully extended, that have a oring inside.
Could use a compression fitting with a rubber seal, that goes over the outside of the pipe coming up. Don't tighten it very tight.
Fitting something like used on a sink drain, or used on center pivot irrigation systems that go around the pipe that goes up through the pivot point that the electrical wire goes up to the collector rings.
Put that fitting on top (inside) the tank, not underneath
Never heard of a fiberglass stock tank. Any tank used around here, bigger than 11', is bottom less steel. Corgated like grain bin sheets, but much thicker. ( Tanks made from flat steel dont work. They tend to leak, heave out of the ground, and bend in from pressure of hooves around outside of tank. | |
