SW Texas
with trade shows like the other reply said, there are a lot of after hours social events, mixers, etc. so be sure to consider that if doing a flat rate. Also, it takes a lot longer to set up and tear down your booth/display than most people think. You may be carrying all your materials in from a far away parking lot.

Other expenses to consider, if these are major shows in downtown areas then you will be paying higher than normal amounts for hotels, meals and parking.

If you negotiate a per diem for meals, remember that trade show food is like eating at an airport, rarely very good, but will cost 2-3X what you pay everywhere else.

Who will be paying the registration and booth space costs?

Regarding mileage, make sure you base the rate on whether it's just you, a small booth setup and literature, or are you hauling samples of their materials, etc.. Big difference in mileage rates if it's just you and some stuff in the back seat of the truck versus 1,000 lbs of material for a display, etc....

Hope this helps and good luck.
