SWMN, Buffalo Ridge | Had a breech calf at 1:00 a.m., wife helped me get it out. Wife checked at 4, cuz she doesn't have to work today. Cow was calving, she called me cuz placenta was starting to detach. I checked her, and we got twins out (4th set). Got 4 more penned, getting my caffeine buzz, then out again....this big low spinning up to us is making them pop.....
Love this time of year, lambs started coming last week, too....just got to be set up for it and roll with the punches. Helps to have someone(s) to spell you once in while, successes like this morning help keep attitude right!
Honkeytonk, see if a buddy can spell you...peace of mind helps with sleep, than back at it! If a hoop helps with it one out of 5, 10 years, it's worth it!!
