was feeding 900 outside-but got lucky on a home run pen of Herefords-what I'm trying to say is a small building can cost around $450 a head- you don't need a 250-500 head barn-start small ,lay it out, learn to build it yourself and be willing to pound nails- The building is not everything it is cracked up to be-very few would want to do the work required-it takes labor-more so then a outside lot-so it takes commitment-I'm still amazed how little thought is put into buildings-I guess if you hire it all done you can complain about how they don't work, and poor workmanship-lets just jump in whole hog-slam 250 head in there and deal with all the problems as they come I guess-and then show a $50 or less return to help pay for something that carries a $900-$1500 a head first cost
