My surgeon released me this afternoon and I asked him if I could continue with PT for the rest of March just to gain strength, to which he agreed.
He said to just not do anything stupid when lifting and that I don't have to see him anymore!
All in all I've been pleased with how things have gone since my surgery on December 6th, it has been much easier and less painful than I expected.
The worst thing about the whole deal was being in the sling for a month.
I am still doing therapy 3 times a week. I have motion back but still working on strengthening. Just started with weights. Shoulder still aches some but greatly reduced from a few weeks ago. I have a long ways to go as far as regaining my strength. Progress is slow, but noticeable as therapy continues.
I have a doc appointment next week and see what he says, but I think I am about on track considering the extensive repair that was needed.
