I was in Arizona last week and rented from Alamo. Experience was painless. I had reserved a "full size" car, they sent me out with a Chevy Equinox. Unlimited miles.
FWIW, I'm not a GM fan, but I was impressed with the Equinox. Enough room for my 6'3", 300 lb carcass and it drove good. Enough power and got 32 miles per gallon.
Best car rental deal in Texas?
