I can remember as a little kid in the early 1960's, didn't have a clue about anything, but one day a stranger pulled into the farmyard in his car when my Dad was gone. Guy never got out of his car, but just asked me to tell my father that Joe Blow from the bank in town had stopped by to say hello. When I reported same to returning father, he told me "He was just counting cattle in the feed yard from his car to make sure that they were all there".
