I’m an iPad kinda person, I got one of those cheap $50 tablets for rough work and no idea where it is, it wasn’t something I could use just no performance and no features. I guess I’m a tablet snob.....
I hear Samsung makes some good but economical tablets? Might be a little on the up side of your budget but a little more useful and stable?

Wife just got a Samsung Tab A for 170. Wi-Fi only, which would be fine for what the OP would use it for providing apps are downloaded at home ahead of time.
I think that was a sale price though now that I think about it. |
