Northern Missouri | Have not tried the microwave before sounds like a decent idea though. Similar to what the poster above is doing and probably not NAT approved but... I got tired of fighting the fading ( not any trouble with calves but fought it with cow tags) and switched to the ritchey engraveable tags, I use the ones with the Y-Tex button and for me they have worked quite well for about the last three years, I am not affiliated with them and as there is no one around me I know off that sells them I usually buy mine over the phone, off their website and the service I have gotten is always good. https://ritcheytags.com
There are cheaper options out there I know but I use them on heifers I am keeping back so the hope is the tag stays around for a while. | |
