Elizabethtown,KY | Nolin River in my area was out on the bottoms several times in the last 2 weeks, the rain today didn't start until late afternoon and looks like it will be after midnight before it quits, it was very heavy at times. The forecasters on the Louisville TV stations had it starting about supper time last night, I'm sure glad that it waited 24 hours to start. It looks like areas to the South of here really caught it today.
I pity the fellows with cows calving and dragging around hay rings in mud almost up to their bellies.
We have had over 10"since the first of the year, in that same time frame last year we had 5". I'm ready for a month of dry weather so we can push brush back around field edges and fix ditches and wash outs. | |
