I would be open to letting them live there rent free but would have taxes and insurance to pay on the house
Just be cautious on "life lease" as it would need to be written properly/fairly as could be many issues....When I bought out my parents they retained a "life lease" on the home/garage and I got good purchase terms...being my parents its worked fine for 16 yrs. but for stranger & there family it might not have.....life lease can be nice bonus too seller as say you live 20 yrs.,no taxes, just inside maintence......and for buyer depending on upkeep,ect. the "life lease" house may have 0 vaalue or need major work by the time you get it...... As long as one is polite & respectful I don't think there is anything wrong with asking about buyingfarm if they would like too sell sometime |
