Years ago I had the EXACT experience you described when I chopped and modified a Cyclo planter. Turned out I missed one of the plastic plugs I had put into the hose fittings on the pump to keep the dirt out while I had the hoses off. I had reattached the hose with the plug still in place. Hopefully your fix is as cheap and easy as mine was.
I understood that this planter came directly from the field to the dealer when it was traded off. Farmer had just finished his soybeans. Should have been working OK. Visited with the owner and he made no indication of any problems. Maybe I will get some more ideas.
