Embarrass WI | Our snowmobile club has a groomer based on a JD 5400 tractor. I ran it for my first time today and was unable to get the engine RPM up to the 2400 rated speed. I adjusted the linkage on the top of the injection pump and got up to 23-2400 in neutral, then it would only idle down to about 1400. Something is restricting the travel in the throttle linkage, somewhere.
I can probably figure it out, I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else had dealt with this problem so I could just go to the solution instead of having to look for it.
