I wouldn't be at all surprised if you could easily gain 1 mpg by running on the foot. If you are good may be even 2 mpg.
Cruise is hard on fuel in the hills.
Yep. That's true for anything. Got rolling hills?? Forget cruise if you want mileage.
That's true whether it's a C15 or a VW TDI or a gasser.
