IL | Who do you turn to for advice. Someone you can open your farm books to and share your goals. Someone who understands current and historical agriculture events, and can apply that to your farm and will give level/frank advice, but not be biased with a product to sell. Like advice on cash rent price, be more or less aggressive. Land purchases when to save, when to buy, when to pay down. Insurance coverage, marketing strategy, working capital, burn rate. family living cost. ect. How many have found such a person and how do you find them? I currently enjoy the wisdom of family members and several retired landowners. Have a great accountant and banker. Also seek counsel in local agronomist, seed salesman, and commodity brokers. But it be nice to find a adviser/ mentor or such.
Maybe I'm looking for the owner of a Crystal ball. lol | |
