Central ND | We bought an older Trimble base station last fall (don't need vertical accuracy like used for tiling) for that we mounted the antenna on the farm house. Also bought a RTK unlocked 262 antenna, and a RTKonnect. We use our cell phones to provide correction data and move the antenna between planter, sprayer, and combine. All have Pro 600 monitors. Think we have less than $5000 invested in moving to RTK from WAAS. Along with no fees, which saves us I think it was $500/yr for our local tower use. Our base station will be paid for in about 4 years at $500/yr.
No annual fees, besides the cell phone data plan, which we've been using for years before RTK so no added cost there. Everything is owned and controlled by me.
Furthest we farm is around 5 miles as the crow flies from the base station.
