My opinion is to run a 1” wider sweep than your spacing, if you want to take out the weeds. Our cultivator is set on 6” spacing, so we run 7” sweeps. That being said, in our soil types the narrower the sweep the more level the field will be. Wider sweeps tend to ridge worse around here.
