I'm trying to install the conveyor belt in the elevator correctly. YouTube didn't help. I called A.T. Ferrell & Co and Phil said I have an original belt and he can't remember how it was installed and laced. He said something about an upgraded version, but they haven't made those in about 3 decades. I put the belt in just to run it, but it is not lapped correct, it has to be backwards(YouTube). As seen in the pictures, the lap would allow material under the belt. There are 2 slots in the belting at the same spacing of the canvas straps. Anyone have a clue?
