Subject: RE: Grain Piles vs Test weight

Not sure if the Bushels are close or not. We do not have a scale on the cart. we count loads in and count loads out. We always have more loads going out than in but that does not mean much. Fall we can haul more and since most are gravel roads, im sure there are some larger loads. loads out are watched and we do not like being over weight. Its a bit of a haul to our market.

As far as storage, some bins are just air and some are driers. The pile has no fans, thus the reason its always the first one to market. Moisture between the 2 are not that far off. With in a point both ways. some bins are more wet than the hoop and some less.

Load out and in is similar. both unloaded with the auger and both loaded with an auger. only difference is the hoop skips the auger under the bin.

This TW loss happens every year and its consistent on the loss every year.
