Subject: RE: Boots and socks

Darn Tough socks are terrific and do provide some breathability. They are made in the USA(Vermont) and carry a lifetime warranty ....... https://darntough.com. Not the cheapest but the best all around socks I have found. My spouse swears by her Sealskinz socks in the winter to stay warm and dry...... https://www.sealskinzusa.com .

Boots are problematic for most of us. I've finally found that in colder months I have Dryshods(typical winter vineyard chores) and Muck boots(heavily lugged for muddy situations) that I use and then in warmer months I use Statesmen boots( waterproof for heavy morning dew or rain) and Redbacks leather( for dry days). In the warmer seasons I'm typically switching between 2 boots during the day(morning vs afternoon).
