Little rant for the day. Have a bulk auger truck I run feed and by-products with. Usually get distillers from a guardian ethanol plant north of me 20 miles. Heading up there today thought I would just call and make sure no breakdowns. They let me know that they won’t load feed trucks/trailers of any kind anymore. Never got a great reason as to why, just that they made a mess when they closed the lid if it was too high. I realize majority gets hauled with hoppers and dumps but there are still a fair number of feed trucks and trailers pulling from there. Just seems like a lazy way out to shovel up 30 lbs of distillers if they run it over. Hoppers and dumps get loaded from flat storage with payloaders and feed trucks got loaded with rail car arm. Can always find another way but it will involve handling the product more times and eventually costing the farmer more $$$.

The plant isn't getting as much money from you as it would like - - - so they have more bs rules.

Maybe time to talk to senior management about the policy?
