Calhoun County, IL | I can't speak for the AL 1500 since we don't own one but we have 2 iTC's currently and they have held up well for the time we've had them (since about 09 i believe). I'm planning on dedicating one of the iTC's to our 9600 to use for GPS to our YieldSense with the fact that they should still work on WAAS.
The biggest drawback of the iTC is the unknown how well they will work after the SF1 signal cuts off to them in 2021 but given their current market value (~$200 - $250) could be a cheap solution.
Another option could be something like a Ez-Guide 500, could use it to output GPS for the YieldSense and then have a GPS display to utilize for other applications outside of harvest time (Ex: spreading fertilizer, applying anhydrous, etc). The Ez-guides are getting some age on them but seem to be pretty reliable. | |
