Subject: RE: Case Magnum 290 transmission faults

Southeastern Tipton County, Indiana

Seth1981 - 2/5/2019 20:43 The trans pressure is between 230 to 250 when the fault codes come on. But the tractor seems to shift fine and has same power as normal. Where is the pressure sensor located?

2820 is system pressure below 100 psi for 3 seconds.would probably be set at startup, low oil, plugged screen, weak pump are listed as probabilities.

2821 System pressure lower than 290 psi and rpms above 1400 is the threshold to trigger this fault. Regulated pressure should be 325-355 psi at 1500 rpm, oil at 120F minimum temp.
If the pressure drops in 7th - 12th you might have a leak in the mid range circuit. Could be as simple as a jumper tube o-ring or a jumper tube itself. If the pressure is low all the time adjust the regulator. Could be the pressure sensor or wiring. I'd lean to the regulated being low as it is common for the regulated to need adjusted.
