Franklin NE | We put down 10 gal 32% with 15 lbs of sulfer behind the closing wheels. We don’t run drag chains there is a rooster tail action from the closing wheels to mix the fertilizer and soil. We have had good results so far. Also we are on strips. We don’t want to apply before the closing wheels because of the fertilizer sticking to the wheels and taking out the bearings. There have been a few growers try drag chains with most of the fertilizer ends up sticking to the chains or get tangled up in the wheel spikes not many runs rubber wheels here anymore.
I made the tubes from 1/4 stainless Steel pipe and run a 1/4 plastic tubes in the pipe.
