| not so sure it was foolish.Deere sold tons of sleds in my part of the world in the late seventies,however I live near the corperate head quarters & several deere plants near the Quad Cities.Emloyees qualified for a 20% discount off retail.Bought a spitfire demo in 78 for $1000.Winters of 78-79 you could sled most of the winter,but 80-81-82 lacked much snowfall & it killed demand along with the economy. | |
