I know I'm not answering your question, nor would I be any expertise help regarding the 585. But..I did have a 585 in my old 2-150 white. For sh$ts and giggles years ago, I put a turbo on it. Man, did it wake that motor up! I did the machining and fabrication, and a tractor mechanic buddy of mine did the rest. I sold the tractor several years ago.
Just for fun. (I'm sure this guy won't want to modify the original).
