I don't remember the exact process but there is a set screw that can be adjusted to make the small auger run much more often to give more accurate moisture readings. Might be some info on Precision Planting's website to help with this. The small screw is on what is called a proximity sensor and is behind the shield on the inner side of the elevator. From the factory they put some silicone on it so probably need to scrape it off to adjust. I believe if you turn the screw in the auger motor runs continuously, then we backed it off like a turn and a half. If recall it right, it takes the reading when the motor shuts off. Also the motor won't run unless the separator is running. Hope this helps.
