Their breeding herd bounced around 36-37 million sows a couple years ago. Last report I saw from a breeding stock company that sells into that market said report was released showing about 30 million sows.
China is not nearly as productive as the US herd, but figure 15 pigs per year per sow ( 2 litters at 7.5 per litter)would be 90 million pigs. US herd might be closer to 2.2 litters per year and 10.5 weaned..23 weaned pigs per year.
More product moving now than earlier this year.
