If you mean, he won't lose the organic nitrogen to volatization, that is true. However, nitrogen loss is more than what you see in a soil test. You don't know what his field conditions are like. This is the middle of winter. Any amount of slope and you can see that stuff going down stream, into the Chesapeake Bay. See that he is in PA, I'd bet he's got some slope to his fields. With that stuff being only 10% moisture, I'd try to stack it and wait until spring to spread - at least until March. |
