Smart TVs have different levels of smartness, so it is difficult to say exactly how to do it off the cuff.....
You would not want zip files/ folders.
Some older smart stuff wants a very special setup, or certain folder names. The newer ones are good at picking out the pictures and you can scatter them in many different folders.
