China imports (2016) by class. About half of total imports were either canadian spring wheat, DNS from USA or hard wheats from australia. The rest was some other high quality wheat for blending, like HRW or SWW.
Unless they rescinded the 25% tariffs on wheat, if they bought they are probably going into reserves, which doesn't make a lot of sense, unless they are going to auction them off in the near future.
