Subject: Need Advice on planting new field

Southeast Ohio
I was fortunate to pick up 75 ac near my farm. This ground was fallow last season with corn planted in the 2017 season.

Looking at the soil tests from this ground it clearly needs some fertility.

I was planning on no tilling this ground, but I’m worried that the ground is poor enough that surface applied NPK and lime will take too long to become available.

Would I have a better crop sooner by doing tillage?

The OM is nearly twice as good as any ground I farm and I know I’ll severely impact the OM levels with tillage.

How can I produce the most successful crop these first two years? Tillage to work nutrients in or no till.

This will be continuous corn. Leased for 5 years or more.
