NE SD | CEC's are mid 20's. High mag and cal. So i might have 150ppm but only 1.5% base sat K. P and K get tied up easily in our soils. That's one of the reasons strip till works for us...banded nutrients. We are limited on gallons that can be applied in row. Especially since our at planting K source is KTS. (7-21-7 and KTS in the fall with strips). The great response from sidedressing P and K with a little 28% in that field I mentioned stuck in mind so i thought if the N helps deliver the P and K why not make it a normal practice. But wanted to hear others experience first. | |
